English for IT B2 / GSE 59-75 certification is a selected response English-language certification exam that tests a candidate’s ability to communicate in English at the upper-intermediate level (CEFR B2, GSE 59-75). It specifically tests a candidate’s knowledge of the structure of the language (i.e. grammar, syntax, and semantics) and a candidate’s ability to read and listen in English.
The certification holder is able to read and listen within the field of IT to an upper-intermediate level, as well as understand and effectively use all the grammar and vocabulary of the upper-intermediate level pertaining to the field of IT, in particular the fields of software development, security engineering, network engineering, product management and customer and technical support.
Becoming certified in English for IT B2 / GSE 59-75 ensures that the individual possesses a level of English that is sufficient to begin work in entry-level positions that require a basic understanding of the English language. The certification furthermore enables the individual to continue to a higher level of English language learning in order to become even more proficient in the use of the English language.
